In my last Rough Launch post, I announced the redesign and relaunch of my site. The funny thing is that sites are never done. Since that post, I have been working to redesign and re-engineer my site. Half-way through 2016, I am relaunched my site quietly. The conversation in the first post was inspiring to me to just go for it. The previous design was never thrilling to me so I continually updated and redesigned until I was excited about where it was going.

Relaunch Goal

Here are a few of my goals for the fall 2016 relaunch:

  1. Improve the design while keeping it simple.
  2. Improve performance
  3. Break up with ExpressionEngine & choose a new CMS (future post coming on this...)
  4. Improve accessibility
  5. Challenge myself: extending my skill-set and learn new stuff
  6. Never quit on the site by continually improving it.

As you can see, it keeps the same basic icon of my face but changes mostly everything else. Overall, I'm really excited about the changes that have come through. The improvements have been great and I am much happier with the way things feel.

Keep an eye out for a series of posts on the relaunch process as I walk you through the six point above.

I'd love to know what you think, so feel free to send a tweet my way.
